I could develop cologne from the amazing aroma of WindMill hot dogs that are beginning their next 50 years of joyous and wondrous consumption. Driving down Route 36 for this interview and photo session, I kept thinking questions about food and hot dogs and surmised much of our time together would be food driven. Did I ever dial a wrong number and yes, never assume. Steven Levine and his sister Rena Levine Levy sat down with me in back of the restaurant by a window overlooking the nearby Atlantic Ocean. Their warm effusive smiles set the mood; WindMill tee shirts messaged humility and pride. Click here to see our 3-page spread
We're having a party -- on top of the Windmill hot dog stand. Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes will perform 3 p.m. Friday, May 23 on the roof of the iconic Windmill Restaurant in the West End section of Long Branch to kickoff the Windmill's "10,000 Hot Dogs" fundraiser, the restaurant has announced.
